Cynthia Haven has written for The Times Literary Supplement, The Nation, The Virginia Quarterly Review, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, World Literature Today, and other publications.   1. Many thanks to you Cynthia for helping to organize a wonderful evening of book talk and for sharing this recent Roth interview.
    I am a local librarian and English tutor.
    My only tie to Stanford is that I live in the community–so I appreciated the invitation to attend and free and open to the public book talk with such eminent speakers.
    Thanks to A Second Look, I did take a second look at The Ghost Writer, which I first read in the early 1980s, when I was young Zuckerman’a age.
    I am now 56.
    I did indeed take a second look.
