Library porn: fabulous places for booklovers everywhere
It is a rainy night with thunder and lightning, and I am supposed to be working on a funding proposal and transcribing interview tapes … so what better way to mindlessly fritter time away than to indulge my prurient taste for library porn? Hard to top these, from around the world. (We’ve shown library porn before here, and bookplate pornhere and here. Is this becoming an addiction?)
The images come to us via my Milanese friend, Novella Cipullo, who alerted me to the website and Facebook page for Libri antichi online. There is plenty to choose from – these are only a few, chosen almost at random.
And that’s one satisfied library customer at right.

Labor of love. Building a home for books. Thank you for these great pictures. I love the Vanderbilt library too.
Thanks for sharing the great pictures! I just love the ceiling at the Stiftsbibliothek St. Gallen, Switzerland! Awesome!
